30th May 2008 – Pn. Rose, Education Attaché for Malaysia students in New Zealand came to Auckland to visit Malaysian students here. The meeting of Malaysian Student Department (MSD) with all Malaysian students was supposed to be conducted last February but it had to be postponed to May.
We, Malaysian students were very grateful to have Pn. Rose here in Auckland. Pn. Rose had given her speech about MSD and gave helpful advices to all the students. She reminded us to sustain the good name of Malaysia by following all the rules in New Zealand and achieve success in both academic and co-curriculum. She also said that all students need to register their name with MSD whether they are under scholarship or private students.
Pn. Rose shared her experiences in handling students’ problems since she began her services in New Zealand since 2003. The most frequent asked questions were explained comprehensively by Pn. Rose such as the issue of passport, student visa, and driving license. Valuable and helpful information had been share to all who attend.
The meeting ended at 9.30pm. We had a group photography session and dinner at the closing.
