On the 9th of August 2008, UMNO Auckland had a brief meeting with Hajjah Ilani who is the Exco of Sekretariat Kelab UMNO Luar Negara
Although she had just arrived Auckland, she still spare some of her time to meet the representatives of UMNO Auckland, Jaziri Alkaf Suffian, Ex-President of UMNO Auckland, Dr Afida Sohana Awang Soh, Ex-President of UMNO Christchurch, Mohd Ridhwan Mohd Ali, President of UMNO Auckland and Shazana Daud, Event & Protocol Officer of UMNO Auckland.
This is Hajjah’s first visit to New Zealand and meets the committees of UMNO Auckland. During the brief meet, Hajjah gave some helpful advice and shared her experience of being a leader in Malaysia.
She also hopes that UMNO Auckland will do their best for Malam Merdeka 2008 which will be held on the 16 August 2008. Malam Merdeka 2008 will be hosted together with other Malaysian students clubs in Auckland.
